The other day we went up a brook. We walked upstream in the water deeper into the gorgeous forest until we got to the spring, catching little creatures living in the stream as we walked. It was an amazing forest, full of different kinds of life. Especially bugs, unfortunately… It really felt like a privelege to get to be there, because it was. At the symposium on Friday Kosugiさん ended the panel discussion with saying that you need to not only know about nature and understand how it works, you need to feel it. And I really could feel it that day. I’m glad I was able to experience this kind of nature in Japan. It was really fun and interesting, and it made the workings of a river seem more understandable and less strange. I’m looking forward to going back to Sweden and see what was I can make opportunisters to feel nature back home too.
